Attorney John A. Barbieri

Attorney John A. Barbieri is a highly respected and skilled Trial and General Practice Attorney.  He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, with a Juris Doctor degree, and Fairfield University. Attorney Barbieri is licensed to practice in all Courts in the State of Connecticut and the United States Bankruptcy Court in the District of Connecticut.

In addition to his practice, he has been active in the community, performing pro bono work for the Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut, Saint Brigid’s Church in West Hartford, and the Greater New Britain Bar Association’s Special Master’s Program.

Attorney Barbieri is the former General Counsel for UNICO, former Board Member of CCARC (Supporting People with Disabilities), and has been the Chairman of the New Britain CCARC annual fundraising Golf Tournament for 40 years which has raised over One Million Dollars for the organization during his time.

Attorney Claudia R. Barbieri

Attorney Claudia R. Barbieri is a highly respected and skilled General Practice Attorney. She is committed to helping clients achieve the best possible results with their civil and criminal matters, with filing bankruptcy, with the process of probating Estates, and with preparing Pooled Trusts. In addition, for over 20 years, the New Britain Superior Court has appointed Attorney Barbieri as Guardian Ad Litem to represent children who are victims in criminal cases. Attorney Barbieri represents people state-wide in Probate matters involving guardianships and elder abuse, and as Conservator of Person and Conservator of Estate. She is recognized by the Connecticut Probate Assembly and Administration, receiving the Glenn E. Knierim Pro Bono Award for Exceptional Dedication in 2024.

Attorney Barbieri is a cum laude graduate of the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C., and holds a Bachelor of Arts from American University. She joined Barbieri Law, LLC in 2006 after 9 years as a Contract Negotiator- Attorney Advisor for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and a mediator for the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts. She is admitted to the Maryland and Washington, D.C. bars and to the Connecticut State and Federal bars.
